Die Toten am Meer plot
Several female corpses are found in the dunes near the German port of Husum. The victims were painted, cut, got a tattoo and were arranged macabre. Much to her surprise, the young Commissioner Ria Larsen is put in charge of the case by her experienced colleague Mattern. Eberhard Wernickes has been in a psychiatric institution for years, but chief constable Bergmann suspects that he is pulling the strings from a distance.
