Last and First Men plot
The late composer, musician and director Jóhann Jóhannsson creates a world in which transcendent monuments from the communist era in Yugoslavia claim their place, in a future where humanity is on the brink of extinction. The buildings no longer symbolize unity and fraternity as they used to be, but now look abandoned. Using the book by the philosopher Olaf Stapledon, the narrator paints a picture of the future civilizations that populate the earth.
