Emilia plot
After breaking up with her friend, Emilia returns from the city to her mother's village, somewhere in Patagonia. The mother is not happy with Emilia's arrival, because it means a disturbance of her peaceful existence. Emilia tries to figure out how she wants to get on with life, but is confronted with people and feelings from her past. Out of boredom and frustration, or an attempt at intimacy, she seduces several men, including her childhood sweetheart.
