Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 and brought the general regime to its knees in 2011. Myamar was no longer a military dictatorship. But what happened to the Rohingya - the Muslim minority in Myanmar - a few years later, seriously blew the image the international community had of them. A wave of ethnic violence and genocide drove nearly a million of her compatriots out of the country.
