Third part, as expected, a little less.

The problem with this film series is that they try to put a slightly broader history behind it. One always ends up at the same house, the previous films are always involved and a slightly new design should keep it fresh. But in the end it mainly gets in the way of the film.

It's not all very skillful. There are a few nice scares in this film, but outside of the horror it mainly looks cheap and easily put together. It is therefore strange that people are investing more and more time in this.

The run-up is a bit long, the effective zone with scares is too short. A few nice moments, that's all this film has to offer. Hopefully they will just go back to the basics with a fourth part. Wandering around in creepy houses where things are not right. A film like this doesn't need more baggage.

Weakest of the series.

The pity is that Cognetti is able to show the potential to deliver a good film throughout the series, and yet he is unable to succeed. The first part's main disadvantage was that it was cheap, but in terms of horror it was quite nice. The second part was a bit better as a whole, but had the disadvantage of introducing a number of lame choices.

This third part actually continues what should have been stopped in part two, and takes it even further. This becomes especially clear during the finale. This series once started as an FF-style film, but towards the end this concept is once again thrown overboard and the film often seems to have the tendency to become a regular horror film.

Unfortunately, that only works against the film, and when Cognetti also opts for cheesy effects and again the same bad costumes that made the first part qualitatively unsafe, you know what time it is. Yet this film doesn't just get things wrong, and it is clear that this series had the potential to be good.

The first half hour in particular is very intriguing and the acting is strong. Everyone seems to be very aware that a human performance is expected of him or her. That happens, and that quickly makes the film a lot more watchable. The improvements in decorations are also a plus, such as the white hallway. Still, those extra things that make this film a little more beautiful.

The horror feeling still radiates from it and the first half hour has quite a few nice images. However, things go wrong after some time by choosing idiotic ideas several times. Cognetti often seems to lose track of what exactly he wants to do with this film/series. If you want to make a normal horror movie so badly, leave out the FF, or else leave all that fantasy stuff behind. This just doesn't work, and HHLLC3 is clearly the weakest part of the series.

Lots of screaming, panting and shocking camera footage (in the bad sense of the word) in the third film about the former Abaddon Hotel. The idiosyncratic theater maker Russell Wynn [Gabriel Chytry] is now using this “Hell House” for a unique, interactive performance of Faust. Television host Vanessa Shepherd [Elizabeth Vermilyea] and cinematographer Jeff Stone [Sam Kazzi] get unique behind-the-scenes access. Bad plan of course, resulting in more sinister mannequins and abysmal acting. Next: Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor.
