Jetske’s Race - Op Weg naar de Alzheimerpil? plot

At the moment, Jetske van der Schaar (38) is still a very healthy young woman. She writes journalistic articles and books, has a blossoming love affair and regularly runs long distances. But Jetske is in a race against time. She is a carrier of the Alzheimer's gene. Doctors call it 'a death sentence': she will irrevocably develop Alzheimer's disease. It is very likely that the first symptoms of dementia will appear in ten to fifteen years' time. And just like her mother, her grandmother and her grandfather, Jetske will die at a young age.
