Ruben Blades is a lawyer, former presidential candidate and ex-minister of Panama. But in the music world he is best known as one of the key figures of the New York salsa revolution in the 1970s. He recorded 38 albums and won many Grammys. Abner Benaim followed Blades in his daily life for three years and during concerts in Panama, New York, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Colombia. Abner also interviewed big stars from the salsa world and beyond such as Paul Simon, Sting, René Peres (aka 'Residente') and Gilberto Santa Rosa.
