Very cool.
Perkins works with Grimm's fairy tales and comes up with an adaptation that is typical of his style, but also a neat tribute to the original work of the Brothers Grimm. A strong mix of stylish horror and a slightly modernized fairy tale.
Visually a real gem. Very cool shots, nice use of light and color and although limited use of CG, still impressive. But the most striking are the more modern architecture, which nevertheless manages to give the film its own face. The soundtrack fits in seamlessly with that. Not a great original score perhaps, but every note just counts.
The acting is also nothing to criticize, the only problem is that this film may play a bit too much on atmosphere and style, making it not really suitable for a commercial cinema. Too bad for the people who prefer to say goodbye to an average horror, but this was really worth it, and another step forward for Perkins.

So that made it hard for me to stay awake. Even the Simpsons after that was even more exciting!
No, this film is definitely not recommended for horror. It's very slow and slow. If you like this it can be a fantastic movie. But not for me.
