Six Years, Six Days plot

During the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Yuan and Xiaduo work as volunteers in the Olympic Stadium. After the Games, everyone goes their own way. Only four years later they meet again during a reunion of volunteers. At his father's urging, Yuan focuses on the economic development of his impoverished hometown, while Xiaduo flies to New York to study at Columbia University. At the new farewell they promise that they will meet again in exactly one year at exactly the same place.
