Excellent documentary about a diver who becomes stuck at the bottom of the North Sea due to an accident. Partly reconstructed and partly the authentic images (which of course makes it all the more impressive). The first part is also interesting to see what special work these divers do.

Exciting and interesting documentary about professional divers. Diving is indeed a dangerous profession where nothing can go wrong. Very isolating and claustrophobic too. A profession where you have to blindly trust your colleagues.
Everything looks fine here. Well done, informative too. The combination of reconstructed and authentic images works well. Excellent installation.

In the end we all die alone. For me, 'Last Breath' (2019) is so oppressive because it touches on that basic feeling of suddenly facing your own mortality through an extreme situation (a diver at the bottom of the North Sea still has five minutes of oxygen). On the one hand, superhuman attempts by the rest of the crew to gain control of their runaway ship and even find the diver, while Chris Lemons himself sinks into nothingness. 'Last Breath' (2019) works so well because it combines archive material with additional atmospheric shots, but without these reconstructions feeling like a break. Thanks to this cinematic design, 'Last Breath' (2019) continuously maintains tension as a solid whole.
