Maite Was Hier plot

Maite, age fourteen, wanders the corridors of a hospital. She is seriously ill and will not get better. She gains hope when she is allowed to participate in an experimental treatment, but has to stay longer in the hospital. While life goes on outside, her best friend goes out and gets a boyfriend, Maite is in bed. At night she secretly visits sleeping patients and during the day she finds support from another young patient.
