Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari Kowai plot

The famous Giamon is the leader of a gang of thieves. It is rumored that he has returned from the dead and is therefore immortal. Everywhere he goes he sows fear and panic. However, Momosuke, a writer with a keen interest in supernatural legends, doesn't believe the story and suspects that someone else is impersonating Gaimon in order to make looting easier. So he goes to investigate.
