Don Koch and his wife Liz move into a Victorian home that they will be renovating themselves. It soon becomes clear that they have taken too much on their forks when they take a closer look at the dire state of the house. Girl on the Third Floor is a thin story that relies on a familiar concept. Otherwise, it's quite well-crafted. Nothing to complain about that. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't expect anything spectacular, but criticizing it would be a bit much.

A decent horror film. The story follows a familiar concept and leaves room for personal interpretation. The structure is quite good. Gradually, the viewer is drawn into the film. Unfortunately, you get the feeling the film isn't really going anywhere, and the ending is a bit misplaced. The film does contain some suspenseful scenes. Towards the end, the film really goes wild with gore. Punk is good in his role and resembles Bruce "Ash" Campbell. A decent interlude. 3.0/3.5

Unfortunately, no effective atmosphere or tension is created, causing those ideas to quickly fade into obscurity. Furthermore, the acting is poor and the pacing is too slow, with dead moments and a lack of visual excitement dooming the film. Bonus points for a deliberate attempt at a distinctive finale.
