Der Doppelgänger plot

Young Jenny Miller travels from Australia to London to visit her wealthy cousin Harry Selsbury. According to her uncle, she would have wasted this. Harry, however, denies in all tones but behaves very strangely. He has an affair with the married Germaine de Roche who is being watched by a private detective. When both are about to travel to Ostend, Jenny learns from the detective the reason why he is observing the woman and she fears the worst.
