It is enjoyable to enjoy the memories and colorful statements of the striking Friedkin, even if the documentary does not have much else. Admirers and colleagues such as Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino are frequently mentioned, as are a number of past collaborators, but most of the time is devoted to discussing The Exorcist and The French Connection. Logical, of course, but then to pay more attention to the operas that Friedkin has directed than to the rest of his quite interesting film oeuvre... bit of a missed opportunity.
