Two female scammers get into a fight and continuously outdo each other about who is the best 'con artist'. Both Hathaway (who I can't stand) and Wilson (not my favorite either) are constantly balancing on the irritation line. Hathaway regularly goes over it.
Wilson is, of course, again, the rough-and-tumble white pit fat girl who hides behind a cheeky facade but for whom we ultimately have to get sympathy. It's like that in almost all of her movies. Because 'the fat girl' has a hard time (haha pun) and certainly in love she deserves some luck. Ah ah.
Where I previously had doubts about the attractiveness of Rebel Wilson, the balance here tilts to 'no'. I do like chubby girls, but Wilson doesn't have enough tits to compensate for the floaties. Ironically, her tits are mentioned as big a few times in the film, but that's not so bad. It is not completely in balance, then you go from 'chubby' to the phenomenon 'BBW'. So that's my opinion about Rebel Wilson's body, do what you want with it.
The film had some mischievous witticisms, but nothing much. 2.5 stars

Never seen the original; In any case, this remake is a no-brainer. It's all not very deep and at times quite over the top. I wasn't annoyed with Wilson. Maybe it helps that this was my first encounter with her, so no feeling like I've seen a character for the umpteenth time. I usually don't have a problem with Hathaway, but this movie does because of her fake British accent. It's nice that she speaks Dutch for a while.
As mentioned, there is a lot of exaggeration now and then, which doesn't have to be a problem with comedies. It's just not always funny here. However, the atmosphere is very light, the location in the south of France is of course also nice, so it doesn't get annoying. But it certainly isn't good either. 1.5*.

What a horribly bad movie this was. As much as I like Anne Hathaway, such a shame was this knick knack.
You could expect something like that from Rebel. But this was just really horrible.
I didn't laugh once. Is this humor?
I'm even more upset about an episode of the Teletubbies.
