Less than the first part. The new actor in the father role is especially irritating (from a sweet, warm man to such an annoyingly busy person) and the master of ceremonies is also not very funny. The atmosphere is okay and the actors are nice. You can see that plot from a mile away that money is being siphoned off with letterbox companies, but such films shouldn't rely on the plot anyway. Although you can always try to make something of it. 2.0*.

I certainly didn't think part 1 was fantastic, but it looked fine. On the other hand, I had a little more trouble with this successor. The cast actually performs exactly the same, so Rose McIver again stands out in a positive way. Characters who threatened to become annoying in the previous film, Emily and Simon, are not so bad here, because they now have competition from characters who are actually annoying. I am specifically referring to that busy fashion designer and Amber's father, Ruby. Why this last character suddenly has to be played by another actor is a mystery to me. The character no longer resembles the original (both in appearance and behavior) and this is quite distracting.

In addition, the story is even less exciting in this sequel. There is some politics involved, but it really seems completely out of the blue. In addition, the worst thing is that the Christmas atmosphere is not quite there. This only comes to the fore a little at the end, but that is of course something that is essential for a film like this and should therefore be felt much earlier. The film benefits - just like its predecessor - from the fairytale setting, which means that this sequel can also be enjoyed. However, there is little or no quality anymore.

2*
