Home Games plot

Twenty-year-old Alina bears the responsibility for her young half-brother and sister, as her addicted stepfather prefers to spend child support on alcohol and Alina's mother and grandmother are also unable to care for the little ones. They all live in a cramped, worn-out apartment in Kiev where there is never any money. Alina, a great football talent, trains on half-disintegrated football boots that she sews together herself. When her mother dies, the coveted place in the women's national football team is increasingly out of sight.
