Hansa Studios: By The Wall 1976-90 plot

The Hansa Tonstudio was a music studio in West Berlin overlooking The Wall. Initially, the studios in the building were exclusively intended for German music, but gradually Hansa grew into a bustling hotspot for international top musicians. David Bowie, who had become hopelessly addicted to coke in Los Angeles, found peace and inspiration in the 'Studio by the Wall' and recorded his Berlin Trilogy (Low, 'Heroes' and Lodger). Iggy Pop canned 'The Passenger' in it. Siouxsie & The Banshees, Nick Cave and U2 would also enter the studios later.
