A few months after the start of the Korean War, US forces engaged in a bloody battle over the winter that changed the course of the conflict. They also had to survive at extremely low temperatures. The UN forces were largely outnumbered and surrounded, as a result of a surprise attack led by Chinese forces with 120,000 soldiers. This documentary uses insights from historians and archive footage.
