The Maribor Uprisings plot

Corruption, abuse of power and self-interest are the order of the day in the post-industrial Slovenian city of Maribor. In the rest of Slovenia, democracy is not much better. There is a lot of poverty and unemployment and politicians are mainly concerned with their own wallet. After the pocket-filling mayor of Maribor turns out to be involved in corruption scandals, the population is fed up and takes to the streets. The police intervene hard, but the outraged citizens will not simply be silenced.
