Lung II plot

An unnamed man (Phil Stevens) walks near a river in the woods. He hears a baby cry and sees a bloodied person pushing a pram and throwing away body parts. In that pram lies the rotting corpse of a child, or at least what's left of it. The man then roams through a city, which is full of corpses and ancient artifacts of dead material. He is wearing a hospital gown. What do these horrific images say? Do they tell something about the past or about the future?
