"The true story of a larger than life friendship"
The story based on true facts is set in the early 1940s, at the beginning of the Second World War. Tom is a fledgling teenager whose father has left home to fight for his country. He worked at the local zoo, which had just given birth to a baby elephant named Buster. Tom has a close bond with the animal. When the area is bombed, Tom enlists the help of a group of rather shallow but nevertheless enjoyable friends.
