Mediocre documentary.

Especially in terms of the subject matter. Basically just yet another documentary about the American pill problem. This time Adderall is the main culprit; next year there will be yet another drug that half of America turns out to be addicted to.

It is striking that multiple sides are being highlighted so easily, although I didn't exactly find any great minds among the "supporters." Additionally, issues like peer pressure and the like are once again cited far too easily as excuses, something I've also grown a bit tired of.

Aside from some historical context, this documentary doesn't really have much to say. It might be shocking for the average American, especially if they are on Adderall themselves, but to a European, it just looks like yet another American luxury problem that there are already far too many documentaries about.

1.5*

In conversations with scientists and experts by experience, Klayman takes a critical look at Adderall, the miracle drug that can be prescribed as medication for people with ADHD, but is in fact a legal drug with which young people and students in particular believe they can boost their performance. He examines the history of the drug and compares it to illegal drugs (including meth) that have a similar effect. Convincing, but halfway through, pretty much everything has been said.
