Apples from the Desert plot

Rivka lives in Jerusalem with her strict Orthodox parents. She wants to break free from her domineering father's rules of conduct and study art. By chance she becomes acquainted with a folk dance group. There she meets the secular student Dubi, who, in addition to his university studies, works at a remote kibbutz where apples are grown. When her father plans to marry Rivka to a much older Orthodox widower with three children, she flees with Dubi to the kibbutz…
