"In Ireland’s darkest hour vengeance shines a light"
The events are set during the Irish famine in 1847. Martin Feeney fights for the British army in Afghanistan, but deserts and returns to Ireland to reunite with his family. Despite the horrors of the war, he is mainly shocked by what has become of his country since the start of the food shortage. Nor had he counted on the almost barbaric behavior of his family and environment. Out of desperation, Martin swears blood feud against the social and political situation in his country, whereupon the British hire soldier Hannah to call a halt to Martin's plan.
