El Escapulario plot
During the Mexican Revolution, a dying woman requests that a priest visit her. She confesses to him that she possesses a scapular medal (a religious medallion) with superhuman powers that protects the life of those who possess the item and kills those who do not believe in it. Before dying, she tells the skeptical priest that the Scapular Medal saved the lives of her children.
