"Crime under the microscope. Introducing Police chemist Gordon McKay."
Gerald I. Ladimer is a lawyer with political ambitions who poses as a fanatic fighter against organized crime, but in the meantime maintains close contacts with the mafia. For example, he ensures that a public prosecutor is eliminated, so that he can take his place. And as soon as Mayor Daniels starts to get suspicious, Ladimer kills him in cold blood. A young police officer turns out to be the decisive link in solving the murder.
