Baronesa plot
In "Baronesa", two friends, Leid and Andreia, navigate a perilous daily grind. Educ raises small children while her husband is in prison. Andreia dreams of moving to a safer neighborhood, Baronesa, while earning her living as a beautician for the poor. Juliana Antunes and her crew (all women) spent five years in the Belo Horizonte slum, often living and sleeping in the same house as the women being filmed.
