An entertaining thriller with horror elements and some social criticism. But it's the couple that really gives the film its punch, with Liz Rhodes in particular performing well. However, the film does suffer from some setbacks, with certain scenes ending abruptly and leaving a strangely unsatisfying feeling. 6/10

A straightforward thriller in which director Max Pachman simply can't convey the menace of the situation. It's puzzling why the main characters allow themselves to be captured this way, especially when you're facing Lynn Collins's theatrical presence. Pachman also opts for a remarkably tame approach to the harsh criticism that a film like Beneath Us attempts to offer, meaning that many of the angry undertones never surface. The performances of the three protagonists are excellent, but Collins and James Tupper make a far from realistic impression, and the finale lacks much spice.
