Mutter Courage und Ihre Kinder plot

In the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648) Anna Fierling criss-crossed Europe following the soldiers in her covered wagon. She doesn't care if she trades with Catholics or Protestants, as long as she makes money. Because of the war, she loses her three children: the brave Eilif, the honest Schweizerkas and the deaf-mute Kattrin. Despite her loss, she finds the courage to carry on.
