Caniba plot
Portrait of Issei Sagawa, a 32-year-old student at the Sorbonne in Paris, who was arrested on June 13, 1981 after he emptied the contents of two suitcases, containing the remains of his classmate Renée Hartevelt, into a lake in Bois de Boulogne. He had killed her two days earlier, then raped and partially eaten her. Declared insane, Sagawa returned to Japan, where he was a free man again and lived off his misdeed.
