The psychological wounds have not yet healed among the people who experienced the bloody Algerian civil war firsthand. Uncertainty and also fear for the future (of the children) dominates among some. Mutatis mutandis, this also applies to the younger generation, who are faced with important choices in life.

A varied and layered film that occasionally collapses. The story about the older generation appealed to me more than the confusing part about the young people. I couldn't find any line in that part. That goes too far in all directions.

The Algerian civil war still smolders in the background. The young and old generations then deal with it differently, which at times are experienced as two parallels next to each other. Such a civil war does not end with a ceasefire. Peace may be restored, but without working or thinking about the causes, you will be stuck with the consequences. Some have fled the country, others remain behind in the physical, but especially spiritual, ruins.

I found the plot quite aimless. Meaningless, long-winded. It becomes clear that the aftermath of the civil war still has a major impact on Djama's family. Too little in its entirety to really appeal to me. Shame.
