Wij Willen Leven! - 40 Jaar na de Molukse Kaping plot

On Monday 23 May 1977 South Moluccan youth hijacked a passenger train near the village of De Punt. At the same time, another group took 105 children and 5 teachers from the primary school in Bovensmilde hostage. The images of the children who shouted 'Van Agt, we want to live' went around the world. After a few days the Moluccans let the children go, the teachers had to stay behind. This was followed by a blood-curdling cat-and-mouse game that would last more than two weeks.
