Gamba is a city mouse who loves adventure. One day, he and a friend embark on an exciting journey to the sea. Along the way, the two meet Timmie, a scared young mouse. Timmie says his family and a lot of other mice were killed by a gang of weasels living on the island. He had previously asked for help from the ship's mice, who everyone always says are the bravest mice in the world. But when those supposedly tough mice learned that they were up against the infamous weasel leader Nero, they had declined the honor.
