Colonel Jin-pyeong Kim returns from Vietnam to his military base in South Korea in 1969. While he struggles with his war experiences, his wife - the daughter of his commander - longs for a child. Not much later, Woo-jin Kyung is transferred to the same army base and comes under the command of Jin-pyeong. During a nighttime walk, Jin-pyeong meets his subordinate's wife. One day, when she is attacked by a deranged soldier, Jin-yeong comes to her rescue. It's the start of an obsessive affair.
