"ALL CURRENT ART IS FAKE"
In Manifesto, Cate Blanchett plays thirteen different roles, embodying some of the most influential and emotional manifestos in history. Director Julian Rosefeldt uses the words of several twentieth century manifestos by artists, architects and filmmakers as dialogue. Blanchett plays roles in various everyday worlds such as that of a housewife, a factory worker and TV presenter. Meanwhile, the question is whether these impassioned statements still hold and inspire us today.
