Shot! the Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock plot

Many famous pop photos from the 1970s were taken by Mick Rock. He largely determined the image of the legendary Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Lou Reed with classic record covers: "Raw Power" by Iggy and the Stooges, "Transformer" by Lou Reed and David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust. He also directed music videos, as for Bowie's 'Jean Genie' and 'Life on Mars'. It was the era of glam rock, but also punk – Rock captured The Sex Pistols and The Ramones – and bands like Queen, for which Rock photographed the Queen II album cover. Barnaby Clay interviews Rock about his long career and shows how the nearly 70-year-old photographer tries to put order in his voluminous archive, where unused video footage of Bowie is discovered.
