Dharmaga Tongjoguro Kan Kkadalgun plot
An old Zen master, an insecure student and an orphan surrounded by natural elements: water, fire, earth, wind and air. In a small dilapidated monastery hidden in the mountains, an old Zen master lives with his followers: Kibong, a young monk who has fled the city and Haejin, a child. These two disciples symbolize people who suffer because they are unable to solve their problems. One day, Haejin accidentally kills a bird, cruelly separating a bird pair. It confronts him for the first time with the duality of existence, with life and death. The bird that remains behind follows closely and that teaches Haejin to understand the fundamental suffering of life: death and the fleetingness of life, the connectedness and passions, sin and fear. Before the old monk dies, he orders Kibong: after his death, Kibong must burn the Master's body.
