Many low budget horror films can learn something from this. Leone shows with Terrifier that the budget should always largely go to the special effects department and that practical effects are of course the way to go. Now he has had a (perhaps unexpected) success with this clown before, so that the foundation was already ready, but even then you have to have the balls to make it so over the top grotesque from start to finish with a very present and unusual killer. It is also very refreshing that there is almost no story in it, it is what it is: 80 minutes of a maniacal clown who mutilates his victims in a sinister way.

This was fun.
A super simple slasher but a slasher that is completely in my list. I was completely unfamiliar with the director. I knew about some of his videos, but I haven't seen any yet. And now it turns out that this Art the Clown has played in even more movies.
Art is therefore the key to the film. Once he is in the picture, the film is still very nice. The real highlights are early alone. As soon as Art is just having fun, the film is just a bit more entertaining, but he also does a good job as a killer.
In terms of gore often remarkably coarse and nice in image. Some gore scenes are also surprisingly shocking. Especially when the woman is sawn in half upside down, the film is especially hard. But also a lot of other gross, bloody kills.
The rest of the film is short and interesting. It's all pretty simple, so you don't have to look for a very simple plot here. But sometimes simple is a bit of a thing that is needed in these kinds of movies. And here it is used optimally.
The movie never gets boring. A lot has happened and although the film is a bit aimless at times, it is always delivered with a certain pleasure so that you don't notice it quickly. In terms of comedy, it is very funny, but also in terms of horror, the film often hits the spot.
So nice video. Very simple, but effective in execution. Already looking forward to Terrifier 2.
