François Roland Truffaut (1932 – 1984) was a French filmmaker who was also one of the founders of the 'Nouvelle Vague'. The Nouvelle Vague is an innovative film style that emerged around 1959. Truffaut also wrote a book about Alfred Hitchcock, his great example and favorite director. Sir Alfred Hitchcock (1899 – 1980) was a British film director.
