"Protect the ones you love"
The charismatic Gregori strolls into the maternity ward of a hospital and seduces Susanna, who has just become a mother. 11 years later she and her son Alexander live in the closed community of Gregori where vulnerable women and their offspring are protected from the outside world. Alexander is the apple of Gregori's eye, the eldest son and a good worker in the household, where children are trained to do dangerous errands to provide for the group.
