"He escaped one war, only to face another."

1979. A teenager escapes the Iranian revolution with nothing more than his life. He immigrates to Northern California where he faces racism, bullying and the general American hostility caused by the US hostage crisis in Iran. Against all odds, he manages to become a state wrestling champion.
