ah.

What a beautiful piece of work Egoyan shows here again, with the old guys who have something to deal with. Plummer in the role of his life, and that's saying quite a bit - if you played the hero in the Sound of Music fifty years before that. Taking revenge for something you can hardly remember with your Alzheimer's, it can hardly get any harder than that. And yet, if you see the man bumbling and already finding his way, the bottom line is that it could really be worse.

Acting performances by the entire cast that cannot be missed, not a ray of light can fit in between. Undoubtedly mainly from the star cast itself, but Egoyan has often cut with that hatchet, that much is clear, and the cinematography is also perfectly in order down to the absurd details. It adds even more to the oppressiveness of the film.

The story may be a bit far-fetched, but it unfolds beautifully and does full justice to the emotions. Quite a bit has happened in this piece of history, and it's only right that it still produces this kind of film so long afterwards - and on the one hand somewhat without aplomb, but also with a heaviness that goes with it. suits. Take your time and make sure you have enough space in the bottle.

Excellent movie by Egoyan.

Starts off as a fairly innocent story but turns into a hard thriller. Good structure, beautiful images, great acting and an unexpected twist. Scene with Dean Norris is of high quality.

4*

Director Atom Egoyan has been quite off track for many years now, but here he comes out surprisingly strong. This is partly due to the impressive acting, with Christopher Plummer as usual very good in the lead role, but the film is especially good thanks to the inventive, quite genius script. The beginning, although decent enough, is not special and in terms of musical support I have some question marks here and there, but from the moment Plummer ends up in Dean Norris's house, the film becomes more and more intense and exciting.
