Carla and Marco are two manic-depressive poets whose art is fueled by their most extreme emotions. When they stop taking their medicines, they end up in the same psychiatric hospital. Despite several attempts by doctors and parents to divorce them, they continue their destructive romance, balancing between manic excesses and suicide. To the point that they will have to choose between their sanity and love.
