Forbudt for Børn plot
The father of seven-year-old Ida has been smeared with another lady to Paris and her mother is therefore heavily involved in alcohol. To prevent Ida and her brother from being sent to an orphanage, little Ida runs the household on her own. However, it becomes too heavy for her and she is close to despair.
