Madrasapattinam plot

After the death of her husband, Amy Smith, an elderly Englishwoman, returns to India to search for her long-lost lover. Through flashbacks, we see how Amy as a young girl first arrives in India in the year 1945, to reunite with her father who was the governor of the city. She meets Paritihi, a local Indian boy and falls in love with him.
