Thirty-year-old Alice is a female sailor. She leaves Felix, her husband, on the mainland and leaves as a mechanic on an old freighter, the Fidelio. On board, she learns that she is replacing a man who has just died and further discovers that Gaël, her first great love, is in command of the ship. In her cabin, Alice finds a diary that belonged to her predecessor. She reads between his notes about mechanical problems about his sexual conquests and amorous melancholy. Alice herself is the only woman on the boat. The rest of the crew is made up of men...
