film starts quite mysterious, then it falls silent for a while, but from the moment they are in Ireland you notice that something is not right, Koen de Bouw once again plays a super strong role (just top actor). The film has several unexpected twists, and an ending that you don't quite see coming, very strong film that deserves 4.5 * for me

This Belgian film was not very well known to me and I also thought that it was not very much advertised. I haven't seen much of Enthoven yet, but I think I've had the best with Hasta la vista. Broer starts promising, but can never quite live up to expectations for me. Deserving, but still just insufficient, just not mediocre. The concept, the idea of the film was pretty good, but I thought the story was too weakly developed. The tension quickly dissipated. Once you (quickly) realized how the fork was attached to the handle, the fun was completely over. Ireland is a beautiful location, which makes it all that little bit more fun.

It was not Koen De Bouw's fault. Rightly one of our most successful film actors in Flanders. Titus De Voogt I found less, also came across as a bit overacted. Annoying character, that's for sure. The delusions about his brother, well. It is no longer very original or surprising. In the long run it even annoyed me. I found those scenes between the two brothers rather forced. The ending itself was no surprise. You can see that it was soaked there. Movie probably won't stick around for long either. I especially missed an exciting story. Not with murderous characters such as in Get Out to name just one recently. But with a suspense, a climax that is being worked towards. Now it all remained a bit obedient and faded.

Thought this was another really good Belgian film. After the Premier which was a bit disappointing and D'Ardennen which was good but not as good as I had hoped, this one aired on TV a few days ago. Recorded and installed today. Expectations weren't very high because of the rating here, but I thought it was a captivating film with a rather original concept. It's probably been done in a movie somewhere before, especially when it comes to taking over someone else's identity, but I don't know of a movie to compare it to.

In the end you know a little too quickly how it will end and perhaps the best solution was to indeed opt for an open ending. Might be a slight turn off for some but I like it that way. In my head you can choose your own ending, although the director does give a good suggestion how it ends.

I thought Koen De Bouw was much better than playing in De Premier and Titus De Voogdt provides the lighter atmosphere. I think that's a great actor to be honest. Nipped 4*.
