Tiantang Jiaoluo plot

Since his mother suddenly disappeared, a young boy has been wandering the valley along the "Yellow River" with only a letter from his mother in his possession. He ends up in a village where coal is extracted from a mine. He finds work there but it is too heavy for him so he runs away. He joins a group of peers. They are young thieves. He descends into a world of drug addiction.
